I stayed at the Chateau during a Yoga Retreat in June 2019; and I am going to book it again for 2020... never in my life I have booked the same holiday twice, but this Yoga retreat is different and I just can’t wait to join again! What is special to this retreat is a perfect combination of things I have never ever found elsewhere. What I mean is that usually yoga retreats are just about yoga, while cooking demonstrations are just about new recipes, or holidays in France are just about sightseeing ... so having a 4-night stay with 2 daily yoga classes + super delicious & healthy meals, cooking demonstrations packed with nutritional tips in an amazing French chateau ...all in one is definitely something I loved! Yoga and cooking are at a professional level, and yet with no non-sense or radical approach, and after experiencing the retreat I now understand what is “the May-way”! Doing things seriously but in a doable way, so that when you come home you feel you can keep doing the same things without making a revolution! And that was exactly my case!As an “occasional” yogi, I was afraid I might find people too expert for me and that I could feel a bit out-of-place, while what I had was an amazing yoga teacher who ran classes very professionally (no chit chat in class!) for people at all levels, but is the funniest and friendliest teacher ever out of the class! Finally ... May: she is such a great host, a chef and a nutritionist! As a healthy eater,l was looking for new recipes, but May... oh my, she’s given a lot more! Nutritional tips, new ideas and good motivation to keep up eating healthy! I have been to many cooking shows but what is special about May is that not only she cooks well but she adds nutritional tips that make you aware of what you are eating and why! She is so knowledgeable that you can literally ask her everything on nutrition! Yet she is so open to listen to other people’s way of doing things, never had the “I-know-it-all” approach... the which thing makes her even more adorable 😍 Then I loved cycling to the vineyards, reading in the garden, sunbathing by the pool, dining “al fresco”, and having the opportunity to meet a lovely group of new people🙏

I have just come back from a 4 day retreat lead by May which was both relaxing, informative and fun. May knows everything you might want to learn about nutrition and manages to convey it in a relaxed and fun manner along with lots of ideas for simple, time efficient recipes. She is brilliant at inspiring others to try and eat and cook in a more healthy way.Thank you. Charlotte Lloyd

Really inspiring few days away at May's Health and Yoga Retreat. It's a great way to kick start a new focus: making what you eat count. Great practical demonstrations, you can see exactly how easy it is to make nutritious meals, and then get to enjoy them too. May is a font of knowledge on nutrition with a real practical and approachable style that makes it fun. The yoga was excellent - pushing us all to test our capabilities, and realise improved posture and flexibility within a short period of time.

May is a mine of information on nutrition. She has a wonderful relaxed manner and is very approachable. I spent just 4 nights on one of her retreats in France and came away having eaten some tasty and nutritive rich meals which my digestive system gave thanks for. I came away with some new ideas for fabuous nutritious meals that look good and taste good, that my family and dinner guests would love.

We had a wonderful family vacation this summer staying in the coach house. The Chateau de la Vigne is perfect for all ages to enjoy time together. Our youngest family members (12 and 14) loved the freedom and space, pool, game room, ping pong and bikes. Our Yoga instructor was super excited to see the yoga studio. (Thank you May for encouraging us to check out your retreats!) My parents who are in their 80's loved having their family all in one space, eating together around the large kitchen table and in the courtyard. My favorite memory is after dinner boules competitions with a glass of rose in hand. The beauty of this place is added to due to the location and access to the treasures of the region.

Time stood still for the whole family for the five days we stayed at the chateau and we savoured every second! We felt immediately relaxed upon arrival at this very spacious authentic chateau and fell into a lovely holiday pattern of lounging around the pool and sampling the local wine and food in an oasis of calm. As a family of five there is always a need to have a breadth of activities planned for the kids. However, we didn’t think about leaving to go out once! We were there with another family and their kids and we all had loads of space and stuff to do for all ages. The grounds surrounding the house are secure for younger kids and substantial. All in all it gave everyone the space to holiday to their hearts content choosing from between: swimming pool; badminton court; pool room; table tennis room; yoga studio; bikes and library.I’d throughly recommend this as a family holiday for one or more families to escape the hustle and bustle and relax into having lunch at 4pm without even realising it.
